You love your mum. Of course you do. But what happens when she accidentally gate crashes your life? For 19 year old Alex this is his toe curling new reality, as chance events propel his weary mum right into his space.

It’s causing shockwaves in Alex’s band too; a tight knit group of friends who’ve grown up together in Wolverhampton. Mind you, whilst Alex is heroically trying to cling to his dreams of stardom and adoration (not necessarily in that order), there are bigger problems afoot. Around him, piece by piece, things are beginning to quietly unravel……

ALEX

Alex is the front man of the band, A brilliant singer, dancer and free runner.

Motivated and driven to succeed, Alex is widely regarded as a lady’s man. Is all this to be thrown into disarray?

INES

Ines is the bass player of the band and a gifted songwriter. Fiercely intelligent and sensitive, she taught herself to play and cannot read music. What else is she hiding?

An enigmatic member of the group, Ines knows and carries the secrets of many of the other band members, whilst keeping her own true feelings close to her chest. But no-one can do that forever…. can they?

STEPH

Steph is a single parent to Alex and his younger sister, Ciara.

Constantly exhausted, her entire life has been about caring for others, but when she discovers a hidden talent, the spotlight is suddenly all on her, thrusting her into a bizarre and uncomfortable situation that threatens the very nature of her relationship with Alex.

Will she reach for something she has never dared to imagine?

Or will she simply do what she has always done before and sacrifice her own dreams forever?
